Come and enjoy the mesmerizing song and dance of one of Bermuda’s oldest folk traditions – the Gombeys on Sunday, September 26 from 2pm to 6pm at City Hall Car Park in Hamilton.
This colourful event will feature live performances from Bermuda Gombey troupes, including Warner Gombey Troupe, Warwick Gombey Troupe, The New Generation Places Gombeys, H&H Gombeys and the Richardson Gombey Troupe.
The Festival will also feature folk groups from Dominica and St. Kitts, a special tribute to the 2010 Gombey festival Honouree, food vendors, Gombey inspired face painting for kids, local Gombey crafts and more.
Minister of Culture and Social Rehabilitation Neletha Butterfield will not only be attending this event to present remarks but the public can also expect to see the Minister in her own Gombey costume, being an avid Gombey participant.
