Injuries mount for cricket squad
The South African born all-rounder, who hit 49 — the top score of the tour so far, was one of the casualties after a slight calf-strain meant he was unable to bowl more than a couple of overs.
Meanwhile Dean Minors couldn't keep wicket after hurting his finger and Irving Romaine ended up with badly bruised ribs.
“We are like a MASH army unit. I limped off injured, Dean Minors got a beamer when he was batting and jammed his finger and Irving Romaine got a ball smack in the stomach when he was fielding.
“I got a bit of treatment from Morgy (team physio Daniel Morgan) and I should be okay, Dean should be fine to bat but Jekon may keep wicket again.
“Irving Romaine says he wants to play but I seriously doubt it. His ribs are badly bruised.”
Gus Logie said he was waiting until tomorrow to make a decision on all three players, but was not too concerned.[[In-content Ad]]
