Jamaicans bring 'fresh' comedy to Bermuda

THURSDAY, MAY 3: A pair of well-known Jamaican comedians and TV hosts will be performing in Bermuda this weekend.

Ity and Fancy Cat are the headliners of Laugh Till Yu Belly Buss, put on by Wild Apache Promotions and Tec Promotions. The duo does impersonations of Dancehall stars Vybez Kartel, Beenie Man, Elephant Man and more. The event will be hosted by Bootsie on Saturday night.

Rowan Ramotar of Wild Apache Productions said: “Ity and Fancy Cat are so funny... these guys bring a fresh mix of comedy that has never been seen before in Bermuda. They just finished a sold out tour of the Tri-state area.

“They do impersonations, short skits and stand up comedy with a Caribbean flavour.”

Ity and Fancy Cat have a morning show on TVJ in Jamaica that is in its fourth season. Local comedians include Nadanja, Eddie G and Jimmy O’Shea. The show will be held on Saturday night at 8:30pm at Ruth Seaton James.

• A special cocktail house for VIP ticket holders will be held from 7:30 to 8pm. Tickets are $50 for regular admission and $75 for VIP.
