Men earn $4k a year more than women, study reveals
FRIDAY, DEC. 28: Men on average earned around $4,000 a year more than women, according to a new income report.
The Personal and Household Income Brief found that the total median household income reached $103,657, while the median income for two-parent households was $170,127.
The study, which was taken from the 2010 Census data, revealed that Bermuda’s total personal income received from all sources by islanders above the age of 16 reached $3.5 billion.
This total was 66 per cent higher than the $2.1 billion reported during the 2000 Census.
According to the report the median income for men was $60,963, while for women it was 9 per cent lower than males at $56,134.
While single parent families received a median income of $84,555.
