Nathaniel Dett Chorale cancelled from the Bermuda Festival

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16: A choir group dedicated to spreading Afrocentric choral music has had to withdraw from the Bermuda Festival of the Performing Arts line-up due to financial constraints.

The Nathaniel Dett Chorale from Canada has become a casualty of the economic downturn.

"It's very unfortunate that the Chorale has had to withdraw," said Bermuda Festival Artistic Director Karen Pollard.

"We know Festival goers will be disappointed but we hope to be able to feature the Nathaniel Dett Chorale when they regain their footing in the future."

Tickets to the next Bermuda Festival of the Performing Arts, go on sale on Monday, November 19.
