Premier on the spot in TV game show

FRIDAY, MARCH 2: The Premier and Finance Minister Paula Cox knows she has the job ahead defending the ‘Jobs Budget’ with everyone having their say, but what she doesn’t know is that tonight on Songopoly, at 8pm on VSB TV, she completely upsets the programme.

And she could not have picked a more anticipated episode either as tonight is Champion of Champions Night for Season 2 of Songopoly.

This is where the three contestants over the season who appeared on the show the most, get the call back to come and battle it out for a host of great prizes and the title of Season 2 Champion of Champions!

Jan Quinn, who won the very first episode this season then went on to escape defeat three more times (twice by the skin of her teeth), eventually retired with $1,670 in cash plus $1,400 worth of prizes.

She will prove very hard to defeat in the final.

Up against her is Bermudian Tracey Furbert who took her $700 in winnings and $600 in prizes back to St David’s with her when she left the programme mid season after being on three times.

And the final contestant is Andrew Cooper, another Bermudian who stormed his way to two runaway wins then lost on his third appearance by just one question.

He’s a teacher and is very knowledgeable on many subjects — perfect when we enter the Popopoly section of the show.

But back to the Premier. Does she make an unexpected appearance on the show?

Does she offer words of wisdom? Does she chastise the OBA for their constant attacks on her and her governance and her budget?

Nope...none of the above.

But a question, a personal question, about her is asked on the programme and the whole show pivots on the answer.

Tune in tonight to watch and see who is crowned grand Champ.

The winner walks away with $100 of RUBiS Fuel, $150 Gift Certificate for a Spa at Bersalon on Front Street, $200 worth of groceries from Lindos redeemable at either store, and a wonderful Galaxy Samsung Tablet valued at $999 courtesy of CellOne.

If you see the Premier, suggest to her to watch the show tonight . . . and see if she knows the answer to the game changing question about her.
