Public meeting to discuss food prices
MONDAY, MARCH 19: If you’re worried about rising food costs, you are being invited to voice your concerns at a public meeting tomorrow evening.
The Price Control Commission (PCC) will host the meeting at St. Paul’s AME Church Centennial Hall, Hamilton at 7pm.
The aim of the meeting is to invite feedback from consumers and the public about their experiences and concerns when purchasing essential goods and services in Bermuda.
Panelists at tomorrow’s meeting include Lindo’s owner Giorgio Zanol, Ed Sousa from Butterfield and Vallis, Claudette Fleming from Age Concern, a guest economist, and Price Control Commission chair Lucia Peniston.
The PCC was appointed by Premier and Minister of Finance Paula Cox in response to global price increases of food staples.[[In-content Ad]]
