Renegades' Ladies down Police
Teacher ladies demolished Mariners 11 to 1 in a thoroughly one sided affair. A stunning six try performance by virtuoso winger Katie Wright ensured that the rampant Reds remained undefeated this season. Nice ball movement and strong finishing runs high-lighted Teachers coach Alvin Harvey's emphasis on basic ball handling skills. He will be proud of his teams ruthless efficiency getting two scores each from Charnelle Gibbons and Kristie Koza. Melissa Daponte added the last Teachers score with an excellent blind side break. Mariners ladies, looking fine in their new livery, had little in the way of positives to build on but a spectacular Amy Wolfinger try did manage to salvage some dignity. Judging by the gap in skills, talent and pace between Teachers and the rest- the ladies in Red appear to be walking away with the league title.
