Sexy scary is the make-up look this year

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 31: It’s time to get ready to celebrate the scariest holiday of the year.

Whether you are trick or treating, eating a meal or heading out to a party, today is Hallowe’en.

And if you don’t have a costume, why not try a face of scary make-up.

Make-up can transform you from a beautiful woman to a scary skeleton or from a handsome man to a walking zombie.

With make-up, the possibilities are endless as long as you have a great artist and a bit of imagination.

And the beauty of it is, you don’t even necessarily need to have a costume.

All you need is a great look and you are instantly Hallowe’en ready.

Kristos Clarke is a make-up artist at Lush Make Up Lash and Brow Bar which has been creating scary and sexy looks for people during this Hallowe’en season.

“We have people coming in for Edward Scissorhands, zombie brides, pretty much anything that I can visualize.”

Ms Clarke said if you have an idea in your head, it’s best to bring a photo in so that she can do exactly what you want.

But she said some people are happy to let her create a look on their face.

As far as trends go, Ms Clarke said: “I think it’s more sexy scary this year.

“I think there’s always going to be people that keep it pretty.

“There are more customers this year going in that scary direction.”

While Ms Clarke is doing full faces of make-up, if you don’t want to commit to a full face of scary, she can do a half and half look.

“There’s a lot of people thinking outside of the box this year.

“I have someone coming in for animé.

“I have a Mexican doll.

“I think people are going all out this year.”

A make-up session is expected to take around 30 minutes.

• There will be a Salsa Hallowe’en party at Café Continental with no cover.From 8:15pm to 8:45pm, there is a free intermediate turn pattern class and dancing to all Latin music to follow.There will be drink specials and a full bar.

• The Bermuda Sub Aqua Club is also holding a Hallowe’en party tonight from 7pm to 11pm and the BSAC clubhouse in Spanish Point. Entry is free with a cash bar. Patrons are encouraged to come in their costumes and enjoy spooky cocktails, zombie brain stew and blood red jelly.
