Smokey, metallic eyes and strong brows are the look this Hallowe'en
We have pulled together a list of petrifying parties and ghoulish gatherings taking place across the island.
There is everything from fearsome fun days for the kiddies to fancy dress events and underwater pumpkin competitions.
The girls from Lush offer devilish tips on this year’s top make-up trends and the guys down at Games + Flix select the scariest rental DVDs for the Hallowe’en holiday.
Hanifah Smith and Kristos Clarke-Trott of Lush provided the tips below on how to have bold and fierce make-up for the holiday.
Ms Clarke-Trott suggested a good black eye liner.
“The winged cat eye look is very popular this season.
“Many people have trouble applying liner, start at the inner eyelash line and do small strokes working outward. It is easier to mess up when you try to draw a straight line.
“When using liner on the bottom lid, go over it with black shadow or translucent powder as this will set it to last all day.”
She also suggested smoky metallic eyes.
“Coloured metallic shadows are ripping the runways this fall.
“Rim the eyes with black liner and brush a charcoal shadow over the lids and into the crease.
“Dust on a gold or copper shade of shadow with a hint of shimmer to make the eyes pop.”
Smith suggested strong brows and bold lashes.
“Strong, defined brows are the key to attention-grabbing eyes.
“Beef up your arches by filling in sparse areas with a pencil or powder that’s a shade darker than your natural brows.
“Voluminous lashes create instant eye candy.
“Mascara is good option to create full, long lashes for a temporary effect which can last for several hours.
“Eyelash extensions are an even better option.
“There is no mess during application or removal.
“The look can be customized to each clients’ desire for fuller, longer lashes.”
Bright lip colours include red, orange, burgundy and plus colours.
Lush offers makeup lessons and applications and eyelash extensions from $25 and up in many colours ideal for Halloween.
