Both Tyler Butterfield and Flora Duffy should have top 10 performances with podium finishes not out of the question. They are just a few of the competitors in the triathlon field who have competed at the Olympics.
Duffy downplayed her chances to finish on the podium.
“Training has been going well and I am excited to rac.
“This will only be my third triathlon back since Beijing so everything is still coming back to me. The humidity will make things tough but having grown up in Bermuda hopefully I won't suffer too much. I am not a fan of racing in such hot conditions though....so we'll see.”
She has spent much of the past year concentrating on cycling while racing for the Univeristy of Colorado team.
Butterfield’s main competitor might be home country favourite Edgardo Velez, who is currently ranked 64th in the world. n
