Your force needs you - recruits wanted
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14: If you have always considered a career in the police force, now is your chance.
Young people aged 16 to 21 are being recruited to the Bermuda Police Service’s Cadet Programme.
Candidates must be in good physical and mental health and be able to pass the Police Service’s vetting process.
This includes the Initial Recruitment Test, security checks, medical tests, a home visit and the Assessment Board.
Applicants must also be enrolled in an Associate Degree Programme at the Bermuda College.
Contract
They must be willing to sign a contract with sureties, to serve as a Constable in the Bermuda Police Service for at least three years after completing their Associate Degree.
Benefits of joining the force include a free medical and dental plan, a starting salary of $36,252-$38, 834 and access to a multi-purpose gym as well as recreation clubs with sporting facilities.
Application forms can be collected from Somerset, Hamilton and Southside Police Stations, as well as the Police Training School at Police Headquarters in Prospect, Devonshire.
Completed applications should be addressed to: Bermuda Police Recruiting or Police Training School, and dropped off at the Police Administration Building or Police Training School at Police Headquarters. The deadline is October 21, 2011.
