Veuve victories for Nasty Medicine and High Energy
The fleet negotiated the 11.4nm course in light breeze all under three hours before heading back for champagne supplied by the sponsors. The Sprit Division was won by Nasty Medicine — helmed by Dr Steve Sherwin — in 2hr 06min (after handicap was applied) ahead of Passion (2:07.11), Yabsta (2:12.43) and Back in Black (2:14.20).
Further back was Chequemate (2:15.07) and Jitterbug (2:32.05).
The Non Sprit Division was won in style by High Energy, helmed by Penny Simmons, who beat Nimue by over 10 minutes (after handicap amendment).
High Energy came home in 2:05.45, with its nearest rival trailing in 2:16.38. In third was Bermuda Oyster (2:23.30), with Premier Cru (2:29.52 and Watercolours (2:51.18) behind them.
