Hundreds of islanders braved the wind and the rain to put their fitness to the test in the Island Challenge today.
Around 90 teams of four took part in the event that saw participants raising money for three charities: Knowledge Quest, Menuhin Foundation and the Boys Day Out Club.
The first teams of runners set off from Warwick Camp at around 9am.
Competitors then headed out along Warwick Long Bay before running back through the trails and hills behind Horseshoe.
Last but not least they returned to Warwick Camp for the final test of their stamina - the Regiment obstacle course.
The five winning teams were decided by a combination of their time over the course and the amount they had raised for charity.
The winners were:
Best overall team: Rum Runners
Best male team: Crabs
Best female team: Rum Runners
Best mixed team: Victoria's Secret
Best company team: Team Sriracha (Aerial Re:)
Best youth team: Warwick Academy class of 2013.
Organizer Aideen Ratteray Pryse told the Sun: "To see so many people turn up in the weather conditions we had today was fantastic.
"We had to get rid of the tall wall obstacle due to the high winds but apart from that it was as we had planned.
"It was great to see everyone having fun and finishing the challenge with a smile on their face.
"We hope this event will raise around $30,000 for the charities."
The Island Challenge is the first of a series of three fundraising race events.
The next one is called the Urban Foot Race and takes place ok St George's in May.
