Bermudian Vanessa James and partner Morgan Cipres finished in eighth place at the World Figure Skating Championships this week.
The competition was held in London, Ontario, Canada and the pair competed for France.
The were eighth after the short programme and were unable to move up after the free skate.
Titaian Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov of Russia won the event with Aliona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy of Germany taking the silver and Canada’s Kirsten Moore-Towers and Dylan Moscovitch delighting the home country with a bronze.
James is a cousin to rising tennis star Tyler Smith.
