Watford and Spanish Point crowned kings of the baize

Queen’s Club, meanwhile, won the Miller Open Division.

Watford Sports Club (A) secured their moment of glory by defeating Royal Artillery Association (A) 5-1.

Zane De Silva won both his games against Mike McGowan — 68-40 and 48-37.

Ray DeSilva defeated Joseph Hayward 66-37 and Steven Bremar would make it four in a row for Watford by winning his game against Honky Burrows 57-9.

Doubles partners Hayward/Burrows won their team a point by defeating Maurice Hawkins/Bremar 54-39.

Spanish Point Boat Club (B) and Queen’s Club (B) battled for first and second spot in the division with SPBC defeating QC 5-1.

Rick Dorush put QC in the lead by winning his game against Stephen Holloway 45-37.

Chance McLain tied the score by defeating Jimmy McGill 68-40. Scott Barnes and John Nicol played the double frame games with Barnes winning both games 55-32 and 67-44. The doubles game saw McLain/Holloway defeat Greg Swinbourne/McGill 55-29.

Warwick Workman’s Club (A) defeated Spanish Point Boat Club(A) 5-1 to claim second spot in the standings.

Veteran Wally Tucker won his game against Chris Dakin 70-50.

Ed Gumbs and Keith Smith split a game apiece in the double frame games, with Gumbs winning the first 72-44 and Smith winning the second 50-42. Timmy Sousa defeated Stewart Greenslade 51-27, while Andre Burgess/Sousa defeated Greenslade/Dakin in the doubles game 58-38.

Reuben Burchall won his game on a black ball re-spot on the way to his team Warwick Workman’s Club’s (B) win  over Watford Sports Club(B) 6-0.

Daniels Caines won both his games against Aaron Bean, 80-42 and 60-37.

Reuben Burchall defeated Keino Zuill 37-30 and James Talbot won his game against Tony Dawson 42-17. The doubles game was won by partners Talbot/Burchall 57 against Dawson/Zuill 36.

Sandys Boat Club(B) forfeited their match against Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club(B) allowing RHADC to walk away with six points.

The high break of 18 was shared by Ray DeSilva and Keith Smith.
