A military aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing in Bermuda today after it lost power to one of its engines.
The captain of the airplane contacted Air Traffic Control at LF Wade Airport at around 3:05pm saying that its number four engine was down and the plane had around six hours of fuel left.
Three commercial flights were delayed, US Airways 1425, USAirways 1298 and Delta 438 as they were held on by the terminal to allow the aircraft to land.
Bermuda Police conducted traffic control at the Causeway and St. David's gate, while the Fire Service were put on standby.
The aircraft, which was travelling between Jacksonville and the Azores and had 14 people on board, touched down safely at 4:05pm.
