Striker Jonte Smith has gone on loan to Conference South side Havant & Waterlooville.
The Hawks have snapped up Crawley Town’s Smith for a month as the Bermudian aims to improve his match fitness after an ankle injury.
Crawley manager Richie Barker told the club’s website: “Jonte got quite a bad ankle injury in pre-season but he has recovered slightly ahead of schedule.
"He needs games now for match fitness and Havant are a good club who play at a decent standard and this will help both his short and long-term development."
Smith, 19, tweeted: "Thanks everyone for all of your best wishes! I'm excited to be back playing!"
The Hawks, currently 17th in Conference South and are managed by former Pompey striker Lee Bradbury. Smith is expected to be available for tonight’s game at home to Farnborough.
