Volleyball feast as overseas teams fly in for Open event

The Bermuda Volleyball Association is proud to present the Bermuda Open 2014, sponsored by the Bermuda Tourism Authority, Fairmont Southampton, and Gosling’s.

The Bermuda Open is an indoor international club team tournament featuring Bermuda national teams in both the women’s junior and senior divisions.

The Bermuda teams will face off against opposition from six teams flying in from Toronto, Calgary, & Maryland. 

These teams are packed with amazing volleyball talent, from national All-stars to collegiate superstars.

If you would like to watch some intense and exciting competition, not to mention support our National Women’s and Junior Girls’ Teams, then come on out to Warwick Academy from Thursday, April 3 – Saturday, April 5.

Round robin competition will take place at Warwick Academy beginning at 5:30pm.

All play-off matches, including gold and  bronze medal matches, will be at Warwick Academy on Saturday starting at 9am — come on out and support your Bermuda teams. Entry is free.

The tournament closing party at Gosling’s Wine Cellar starts at 8pm. All are welcome. 

There will be a $10cover charge, drinks will be $5 and nibbles will be provided.
