Bermuda keeper Freddy Hall is attempting to relaunch his career in England with Burton Albion.
Former Northampton Town and Toronto FC shot-stopper Hall, 29, has signed with the League Two club until the end of the season.
He will provide cover for Dean Lyness and the club’s current number one Rob Lainton, who is currently on loan from Bury.
Burton boss Gary Rowett told the Burton Mail: “Freddy has been training with us and he has a good pedigree.
“With Rob Lainton only on loan we need to make sure we have adequate cover in the goalkeeping position.
“It will give us a chance to look at him more long-term, he has played at a good level with Toronto FC and this is a chance for him to make a career in England.”
The Brewers are currently fifth in the table, four points off third and the automatic promotion spots. They take on third-place Scunthorpe at Glanford Park on Saturday.
